WISE – – Brent Norford has been named the new director of strength and conditioning at UVa-Wise. Norford comes to the College after most recently serving as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Newberry College.
While with the Wolves, Norford worked with the cross country, tennis, wrestling, baseball, women’s lacrosse, volleyball, field hockey and men’s soccer. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Norford served as a strength and conditioning intern while with the Crimson Tide.
Previously, Norford spent time as a strength and conditioning intern at Samford University. There, he worked with the football, baseball, basketball, tennis, softball, volleyball, track, soccer and golf programs.
A native of Chesterfield, Va., Norford obtained a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in human performance before later adding a master’s degree in kinesiology also from the University of Alabama.
