BOO! Ghost Walk Oct. 26 shows spirits of UVa-Wise

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise will be hosting their annual Ghost Walk on October 26.

Associate Vice Chancellor for Compliance, Jewell Worley walks students around campus and tells them about the ghosts that inhabit each building on campus.

Worley says that they usually have around 50 to 75 students participate in the event that is hosted by the housing office. “Each year the weather is different,” Worley says, “sometimes it is sunny and we are able to walk around to each of the buildings and sometimes it is a dark and dreary night and we all go into the chapel and turn down the lights and I tell the stories there.”

Worley says that while she does not want to give away any spoilers to new participants, she will say that her favorite ghost is the one that inhabits McCrary Hall.

Students are encouraged to attend the Ghost Walk at 6 p.m. and discover all of the ghosts that inhabit the buildings on campus.
